Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons chia seeds preferably whole
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom ground
  • pinch nutmeg ground
  • 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup optional for sweetness

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Jar or serving glasses

Method

  1. Measure out the chia seeds and place them into a mixing bowl.
  2. Pour in the milk and sprinkle over the ground cinnamon, cardamom, and a pinch of nutmeg.
  3. Whisk the mixture vigorously until the spices are evenly distributed and the seeds are coated.
  4. If desired, stir in honey or maple syrup for a touch of sweetness, then give it another gentle whisk.
  5. Cover the bowl loosely and place it in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes, allowing the chia seeds to absorb the liquid and thicken into a pudding-like consistency.
  6. Once chilled, give the pudding a good stir to ensure an even texture, then spoon it into jars or glasses for serving.
  7. Top with additional spices, fruits, nuts, or a drizzle of honey as desired for extra flavor and texture.
