  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and gather all your ingredients and tools. Place a sheet of parchment paper on your baking sheet for easy cleanup.
  2. Lay out the tortillas or puff pastry sheets flat on a clean surface, smoothing them out for an even base.
  3. Spread a thin, even layer of cream cheese or hummus over each sheet, covering the surface completely to help hold the fillings together.
  4. Layer slices of deli meats, cheese, and colorful vegetables evenly over the spread, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Starting from one edge, carefully roll the sheet tightly into a log, pressing gently as you go to keep it compact.
  6. Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to slice the log into 1-inch wide pinwheels, revealing colorful spirals in each piece.
  7. Arrange the sliced pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.
  8. If desired, brush the tops lightly with beaten egg for a glossy finish and extra golden color.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until the pinwheels are golden and crispy, filling your kitchen with a warm, savory aroma.
  10. Remove the pinwheels from the oven and allow them to cool slightly on the baking sheet for a few minutes.
  11. Arrange the pinwheels on a platter and serve warm or at room temperature, enjoying their colorful, crispy layers.
