Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen French fries pre-cooked or baked
  • 1/2 pound ground beef seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or cheese blend
  • 3 small pickles sliced into thin rounds
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking beef
  • salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Baking sheet or oven tray
  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Cooking spatula
  • Cheese grater
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the frozen fries evenly on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. Remove from oven and set aside.
  2. While fries are baking, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and then the ground beef. Cook, stirring frequently, until beef is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder during cooking. Once cooked, transfer beef to a plate and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and sprinkle shredded cheese over the cooked beef. Stir gently until the cheese melts and creates a cheesy beef mixture, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
    2 cups frozen French fries
  4. Arrange the crispy fries on a serving plate. Spoon the cheesy ground beef evenly over the fries. Top with sliced pickles for a tangy finishing touch.

  5. Serve immediately while the cheese is melted, allowing the flavors to meld and the fries to remain crispy.
